Spotlight: Most recent win came in this race last year from a 1lb higher mark (1m, good); has worn a hood on his last two starts, which has resulted in a pair of seconds at 7f/1m; chance returned to the scene of his win wearing the hood.
Spotlight: Ten-time winner, last three have been on soft/heavy; improved upon moderate display in the Irish Lincoln on seasonal return to finish 4.5l behind the winner at Leopardstown last month (7f, good); handicapper giving him a chance, now 8lb below his last winning mark; not discounted.
Spotlight: Likely needed the run on seasonal return when well beaten at Down Royal (7f, good); ran on well to finish fourth at Leopardstown last time (1m, good to firm); Pier Pressure was 2.75l in front of him that day though.
Spotlight: In excellent from on the AW earlier in the year and continued that on turf when winning a Bellewstown handicap off 65 earlier this month (1m, good); patiently ridden at Naas last time when outpaced at a crucial point (1m2f, good); all four wins have come at 1m; player but bad draw.
Spotlight: Winner of a big-field Leopardstown handicap in March (1m, good) off 60; down the field in three runs since then but his 1l third of 12 at Kilbeggan last time was more like it (1m, yielding to soft); not guaranteed to reproduce that run.
Spotlight: Without a win in 14 starts; good run at Down Royal in May (7f, good) when 2l behind the winner in first-time blinkers; below that in two subsequent starts, including last time at Leopardstown when slowly away sporting first-time cheekpieces; all headgear left off now but needs more.
Spotlight: 1-14; C&D winner in May (1m, good); up 8lb for that victory and not disgraced at the Curragh last time when 4.75l behind the winner (1m2f, good); returns to the scene of his sole win but others preferred with a poor draw.
Spotlight: Winner of a Dundalk maiden in October (7f); 0-8 on turf; however, ran quite well in a Naas 1m handicap before highly tried in a valuable race at the Curragh; cheekpieces are now added to the tongue-tie; possibilities.
Spotlight: Fairyhouse maiden winner in September (7f, good); hasn't offered a great deal since that win although a 4.5l seventh over C&D of her maiden win last time was encouraging; stayed on that day so step up to 1m here could bring improvement.
Spotlight: 7- 53; soft ground Limerick winner in April (1m,); below that form in five starts since; hard to predict but he's back down to his last winning mark.
Spotlight: Seven-time winner with two of those coming on AW; most recent win came at Down Royal in June off 58 (7f, good); couldn't follow up at Bellewstown off 65 (1m, good) nor off a mark of 60 at Dundalk most recently when beaten 11l (1m); likely to find a few less exposed.
Spotlight: Ex-French filly bought for E62,000 in December; made encouraging stable debut at Roscommon earlier this month when fifth in first-time hood (1m2f, yielding); hood left off next time at Kilbeggan where she finished last (1m3f, yielding to soft); drops to 1m now and visor goes on.
Spotlight: Impressive winner at Cork (7f, heavy) in March last year off 72 but lost form subsequently; poor at this track on seasonal return (1m1f, soft) but his best run for awhile came last time when 3l behind the winner at Down Royal (7f, good); that gives him something to build on.
Spotlight: A winner on turf and AW last year over 1m; yet to hit top form this campaign and was beaten 23l at Leopardstown last time (1m, good to firm); that was on return from a mini-break so may be capable of better now in a first-time tongue-tie.
Spotlight: Gained second career win when making all over 7.5f at Roscommon in May; hiked up 8lb and has struggled in two starts since (upset in stalls last time when well behind Daonethatgotaway); can do better.
Spotlight: All seven wins have come on AW and he has beaten very few rivals in his three starts on turf since returning from over a year break this summer for new stable; hard to fancy

Last year's winner, PIER PRESSURE returns off a 1lb lower mark and has been running well, sporting a hood on his last two starts. A lot in here are not sure to give their running but Brains was a winner of a similar event at Leopardstown in March and had his best run for a while last time when third. DAonethatgotaway is thriving at the moment and is a big player if overcoming a poor draw. [Denis Harney] Show less
