Spotlight: 185,000euros foal, 130,000gns yearling; bred to stay 1m2f+; 14-1 and hooded, slowly away in steadily run novice at Chelmsford (1m2f, AW) 15 days ago but he stayed on past six of his rivals to finish fourth of 11, a neck behind Altareq; also hung under pressure that day but it was a promising debut.

Spotlight: Has a useful pedigree for 1m4f; weak 14-1 for the Wood Ditton at Newmarket (1m, good) one month ago, green and never in a threatening position but he did close into fifth of 15, a neck in front of Altareq and just over 2l behind Hinchinbrooke; this extra 2f will help and he could be a big improver if he's learned from that debut experience.

Spotlight: By Cracksman out of a 6f 2yo winner (including Group 3; RPR 109); 33-1, bang there from 3f out to over 1f out when fourth of 15 in the Wood Ditton for newcomers at Newmarket (1m, good) one month ago, weakening but still finishing just over 2l in front of Caughtredhanded and Altareq; going up in trip asks a question but he has among the best form and looks promising.

Spotlight: Late foal by Sea The Stars; promising third of 11 in novice event at Doncaster (7f, good) in March would make him a leading contender but beaten 18l when fourth of nine over C&D (good) 12 days later; needs to bounce back.

Spotlight: 48,000euros foal, 410,000gns yearling; third foal; Cracksman half-brother to 5.7f/6f winner Givemethebeatboys (including Group 3; RPR 112); dam 1m3f/1m4f winner (84), half-sister to winners Lismore (2m Group 3) and Testa (1m Listed); already gelded and probably stable second string to Crown Imperial, although Harry Davies was 2-4 for the yard last year.

Spotlight: Brother to 1m2f Listed winner Al Asifah; weakened out of serious contention in both the Wood Ditton at Newmarket (1m, good; behind two of these) and novice at Chelmsford (1m2f, AW; 6-4 favourite, neck ahead of the promising Respond) 15 days later; still showed fair form but a fair bit better will be required to win this.

Spotlight: 46,000gns foal by Without Parole; first foal; dam 1m AW winner (RPR 79), half-sister to Italian Listed-placed 6f-1m winner Rabiosa Fiore, out of 2m-winning half-sister to 7f Listed winner Ibn Malik; gelded and his stable also runs Meblesh, so the market should give big clues.

Spotlight: 66-1, slowly into stride and always behind when seventh of ten in maiden at Leicester (1m2f, good) three weeks ago; major work to do.
